House Session - August 2, 1988

The House agreed to the Senate amendment no. 16 to H.R. 1414 Atomic Energy Act of 1954 to amend the Price-Anderson provisions to extend and improve the procedures for liability and indemnification for nuclear accidents, but it disagreed to the Senate amendments no.12D15 returning the measure to the Senate. Also the House disagreed to the Senate amendment to H.R. 2629 Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act of 1980 to clarify the conveyance and ownership of submerged lands by Alaska Natives, Native Corporations and the State of Alaska, clearing the measure for the president. The House disagreed to five other Senate amendments: H.R. 4800 making appropriations to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for FY89, H.R. 4867 making appropriations for the Department of Interior and related agencies for FY89, to H.R. 4783 making appropriations for the Department of Labor, Health, and Human Services for FY89, H.R. 4775 making appropriations to the Treasury Department, to the U.S
