Senate Passes Foreign Aid Package 79-18
House Session - July 17, 1989

The House passed reauthorization bill H.R. 828 to fund the Bureau of Land Management through 1994. The bill also restricts commercial use of government lands and offers further environment protection. The House agree to create a National Parks Review Board H.R. 1484. This bill gives the National Parks director more autonomy from presidential pressure.
