House Passes Bill For Humanitarian Assistance at Southern Border, 230-195
House Session - July 18, 1989

The House passed H.R. 2883, appropriating 44 billion dollars for the 1990 Farm bill. Other programs supported by the bill include funding for rural housing and WIC, a supplemental feeding program for lower income families. The bill also places a cap on the export enhancement program. Toward the end of the day the House debated various catastrophic health care issues.
