The House passed two bills H.R. 1668 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Programs Authorization and H.R. 2427 NOAA Satellite Programs Authorization. These bills reauthorize and provide major funding increases for various programs under the jurisdiction of NOAA. The House gave unanimous consent to reject Senate amendments for three House bills: H.R. 2989 appropriating money for the U.S. Postal Service of the Treasury Department for FY90; H.R. 2883 which appropriates money for rural development for FY90; and H.R. 2696 which appropriates money for water and energy development for FY90.
