House Session - April 23, 1991

The Speaker of the House made a series of appointments, including several recommendations to the Canada-United States and Mexico-United States Interparliamentary Groups. The Minority Leader appointed employees of the House to the review panel of the Office of Fair Employment Practices. The House voted to suspend the rules and agree to the Senate amendment to H.R. 598, to amend title 38, to improve the capability of the Department of Veterans Affairs to recruit and retain physicians and dentists through increases in special pay authorities. The House voted to suspend the rules and pass H.R. 172, amended, to assure the continuing airworthiness of aging aircraft.
