The House completed all debate on a motion to amend the National Trails System Act. The House voted to suspend the rules and pass H.R. 1143, to authorize a study of nationally significant places in American history, and H.R. 904, to direct the Secretary of the Interior to prepare a national landmark theme study on African American history.
