The House passed H.R. 2038, to authorize appropriations for the 1992 fiscal year for intelligence activities of the United States Government, the Intelligence Community Staff, and the Central Intelligence Agency Retirement and Disability System, with amendments. The House agreed to pass H.R. 26, to require the Federal depository institution regulatory agency to take action against institutions that engage in money laundering. The House completed all general debate on H.R. 2508, the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to establish more effective programs and to amend the Arms Export Control Act and to redesignate that act as the Defense Trade and Export Control Act, and to authorize appropriations for foreign assistance programs for the following two fiscal years. The House voted to agree to H.Con. Res. 142, extending an invitation to the International Olympic Committee to hold the 1998 winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah.
