The House passed S. 1745, to amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to strengthen and improve federal civil rights laws and to provide for damages in cases of intentional employment discrimination. The House agreed to H.R. 1988, to authorize appropriations for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for research and development, space flight, control, data communications, construction of facilities, research and program management, and Inspector General.
