Read GOP Bill to Raise the Debt Limit
House Session - April 1, 1993

The U.S. House of Representatives considered the conference report for the Voter Registration Act, commonly known as the “Motor Voter” bill. The bill allows voter registration at motor vehicle departments, various public offices, and through the mail. Members also debated the Federal Debt Limit Extension Bill, a measure raising the debt ceiling to $4.37 trillion. The increase would enable the government to pay its bills through September.
