The U.S. House of Representatives met and continued debate on the National Competitiveness Act. Following morning business, which included one minute speeches on a variety of topics, the members began the introduction of amendments to the National Competitiveness Act bill. The bill would make grant and loans available to businesses in the United States who took advantage of new methods of manufacturing. The bill remained open for amendment and debate at the end of the regular business for the day and the House stood adjourned until the following Monday.
