The House considered the FY 94' Appropriations Bills for the Defense Department, Energy & Water, and a bill providing for a Biological and Animal Research agency. The DOD bill provides $240 billion for defense-related programs, less than the administration wanted. The conference report for the Energy and Water spending bill this time without funding for the Superconducting Supercollider. About $22 billion would be slated for nations' nuclear weapons complex, civilian nuclear energy programs, and other energy programs. The House debated after one-minute speeches.
