House Session - September 20, 1995

After the prayer by the House Chaplain, the U.S. House opened with one-minute Speeches on a variety of issues then voted to adjourn. When they returned, a controversial debate ensued about medicare proposals and whether House Committees could meet today. They debated a bill to restructure the national highway system and U.S. policy toward Cuba. The session ended with Special Order speeches.
