Senate Passes Foreign Aid Package 79-18
House Session - March 7, 1996

The US House of Representatives planned to debate a bill to temporally extend the Federal debt limit. The House passed a bill to exempt government borrowing from the Federal Debt limit through March 29th. The Senate passed the same bill - it may now go to the President. The members also authorized depositions by staff in the White House Travel Office investigation.
