The U.S. House of Representatives considered H.R. 929, the “Partial-Birth” Abortion Ban Bill. The measure contains fine and imprisonment for anyone performing the procedure, as well as the right for fathers and maternal grandparents to sue for damages. It also contains an exception if the procedure saves the life of the mother.
