The House Is Not In Session
House Session - May 9, 2019

The House passed a bill that would require insurance companies to recover patients with pre-existing conditions. Members also worked on a disaster relief bill for areas recovering from hurricanes, wildfires, and other natural disasters. The legislation includes hurricane relief for Puerto Rico and recent flooding in the Midwest. After legislative business was completed, several Democratic members took part in a reading of portions of the redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
