House Rules Committee Considers National Security Supplemental Legislation
House Session - January 28, 2020

The House began debate on two Iran-related bills. The first would repeal the 2002 congressional authorization for the use of military force against Iraq. The second aims to block federal funding from being used to take military action against Iran without congressional authorization. Members also considered four suspension bills, including a resolution "supporting the rights of the people of Iran to free expression and condemning Iranian regime for its crackdown on legitimate protest."
