The House passed two immigration bill. H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise Act, would provide a pathway to citizenship for “DREAMers,” undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, and those with temporary protected status. Nine Republicans and all Democrats voted in favor of the measure. H.R. 1603, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, would grant legal status to undocumented farm workers and reform the agriculture guest worker visa program. Thirty Republicans and all but one Democrat voted “yes.”
