House and Senate Pass Continuing Resolution to Fund Government
House Session - May 11, 2021

The House considered 14 suspension bills, mainly concerning suicide prevention efforts and community mental health services. Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) gave a floor speech about the importance of upholding the Constitution and denounced former President Donald Trump's claim that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent, calling it an attempt to undermine the democratic process. She spoke a day before House Republicans were set to vote on whether to remove her from her leadership role as conference chair.
