In a vote of 252-175, the House passed a bill that creates a bipartisan commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Thirty-five Republicans voted "yes" with all Democrats. Members also started work on a bill that provides $1.9 billion for Capitol security and includes the creation of a Quick Reaction Security Force and funds for prosecution of January 6 rioters.
