The House Is Not In Session - Next Session Wednesday, March 22 At 12:00 PM
House Session - April 6, 2022

The House voted 220-203 to hold former Trump administration advisers Dan Scavino and Peter Navarro in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with subpoenas issued by the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. The two claimed executive privilege as their reason for refusing to cooperate. All Democrats and two Republicans, Representatives Liz Cheney (WY) and Adam Kinzinger (IL), voted in favor of the contempt resolution, which would next be referred to the Justice Department for possible prosecution. Members also approved two suspension bills: the BURMA Act of 2022, and the Ukraine Invasion War Crimes Deterrence and Accountability Act.
