Senate Session - March 17, 1988

CR pp. S2387-S2514. The Senate passed S. 2117, the Age Discrimination Claims Assistance Act of 1988, to extend the statute of limitations for certain claims that were filed before the passage of the Age Discrimination Act of 1967. Also passed was H.R. 3967, to amend the Defense Department Authorization Act, extending medical benefits to certain former spouses. The Senate began consideration of the president’s veto message on S. 557, the Civil Rights Restoration Act. The Senate continued consideration of H.R. 1414, to amend the Atomic Energy act of 1954.
