The Senate passed H.R. 3660 relating to reform of Ethics in Government Act of 1978. H.R. 498 was passed, to strengthen law enforcement in Indian country. S. 1783 passed to improve Indian child protection and prevent child abuse on Indian reservations. H.R. 2459 was passed, to authorize appropriations for the Coast Guard for FY90. The Senate agreed to conference report on H.R. 3072 making appropriations for the Department of Defense for FY90. H.R. 2939 was agreed to allowing appropriations for Foreign Assistance and related programs. Conference report on H.R. 3402 was agreed to in order to promote political democracy and economic pluralism in Poland and Hungary.
