Senate Passes Foreign Aid Package 79-18
Senate Session - September 27, 1990

The Senate passed H.R. 5558, to provide for the temporary extension of certain programs relating to housing and community development. The Senate concurred in the amendments of the House to S. 647, to amend the federal securities laws in order to provide additional enforcement remedies for violations of those laws. A unanimous consent agreement was reached providing for the consideration of the nomination of David H. Souter, of New Hampshire, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
