House Rules Committee Considers National Security Supplemental Legislation
Senate Session - October 5, 1990

The Senate passed S. 3037, to authorize federal depository institution regulatory agencies to revoke charters, terminate deposit insurance, and remove or suspend officers and directors of depository institutions involved in money laundering or monetary transaction reporting offenses. A unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing for consideration of S. 3167, to cut Social Security contribution rates and return Social Security to pay-as-you-go financing.
