House Approves Rule for Foreign Aid Bills, 316-94
Senate Session - October 8, 1994

A rare Saturday Senate Session was held with the Conference Report on S. 21 The California Desert Protection Bill. This Bill would create over 7.5 million acres of desert wilderness areas in Southwestern California. The measure includes the expansion of Death Valley and Joshua Tree National Monuments. The Senate moved onto the nomination of Buster C. Closson to retire at the rank of Lieutenant General.
