Senate Session - December 7, 1995

Senators continued debate on H.R. 1833, a bill to ban a certain type of abortion procedure usually performed late in a pregnancy. Senators approved an amendment by Senator Dole which would allow the procedure as a last resort to save the mother’s life 98 to 0. They passed the bill by a 54 to 44 vote.
