The U.S. Senate convened and talked about a variety of issues during morning business before turning to H.R. 1003, the Assisted Suicide Funding Restriction Bill. This bill would prohibit the use of federal money to pay for “assisted” suicide or mercy killing. After much discussion, it passed with a 99-0 vote.
