The Senate convened for a period of morning business and thereafter began a series of six roll call votes to confirm the following judicial and executive branch nominations (all need a simple majority for passage): Carolyn McHugh to be U.S. Tenth Circuit Judge, Matthew Frederick Leitman to be U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan, Judith Ellen Levy to be U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan, Laurie Michelson to be U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan, Linda Vivienne Parker to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan, and Sarah Bloom Raskin to be deputy Treasury secretary.
