House Resolution on Impeachment Procedures
Senate Session - April 9, 2014

The Senate failed to invoke cloture on equal pay legislation, S. 2199, Paycheck Fairness Act. The bill would have required employers to pay men and women with similar qualifications the same wages for similar jobs, allowed women to file suit for punitive damages in discrimination cases, and barred employers from forbidding employees to discuss their salaries among themselves.

The Senate began debate on the nomination of Wanda Felton to be first vice president of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Senators also debated the nomination of Terrell McSweeny to the Federal Trade Commission.
