House Resolution on Impeachment Procedures
Senate Session - January 14, 2019

On day 24 of a partial government shutdown over President Trump’s demand for funds to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall, Senate Democrats for the third time, in an effort to force a vote on legislation to reopen the government, blocked a bill that would extend military assistance to Israel, put new sanctions on Syria, and urge state and local governments to oppose economic boycotts of Israel.

This was the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.
