The Senate Is Not In Session - Next Session Tuesday, August 27 At 10:00 AM
Senate Session - February 4, 2019

The Senate voted to advance a Middle East security bill that includes new sanctions against Syria and U.S. military assistance for Israel. Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) unveiled his “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.” The legislation would prohibit a health care practitioner from failing to exercise proper care in the case of a baby who survives an abortion or attempted abortion. He asked for a unanimous consent vote on the bill, but Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) objected.
