House Passes Democrats' $1.5 Trillion Infrastructure Bill, 233-188
Senate Session - March 10, 2020

The Senate continued work on a bill to reset energy and environment policy. The legislation combines more than 50 bills offered by various senators, both Democrats and Republicans, and includes issues such as energy efficiency, battery storage, carbon capture, electric grid security, building codes, and a new generation of nuclear reactors. Members voted 55-41 in favor of the motion to proceed to debate on S.J.Res.56/H.J.Res.76, which seeks to overturn via Congressional Review Act (CRA) an Education Department rule issued on September 23, 2019, on student loan forgiveness.
