H.AMDT.467 Amendment (A001) by the Committee on Rules considered as adopted pursuant to the provisions of H. Res. 302 . An amendment to clarify that the future status of Taiwan should be determined by peaceful an democratic means and clarify that no agreement currently existsbetween the PRC and Taiwan. The amendment also expresses that the U.S. must be willing to assist in the defense of Taiwan in case of threats or military attack by the PRC and to make a technical modification clarifying the existing missile defense capabilities of Taiwan. |
