Radio and television reporters gathered for their annual dinner. Since President and Mrs. Clinton were in Africa, cardboard cutouts were seated at the head table in their stead. CNN won the Barone award for its special program “The Money Trail: Democracy for Sale.” Mr. Nealon provided the comedic entertainment. He made several comments about the allegations of sexual misconduct against President Clinton and performed his impression of Sam Donaldson. He ended his remarks with “Subliminal Man” comments about Washington politics. close
