President Clinton talked about the United Auto Workers and what the U.S. government can do to strengthen U.S. workers and manufacturers. He commented on the strong economy in the United States and how imports and exports have slowed which is affecting U.S. manufacturers which in turn can hurt the economy. He mentioned his plan to give twenty-five million dollars to create a new arm in the International Labor Organization to help developing countries to put in place labor protection for their workers. close
