Secretary of State James A. Baker III testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee about the recent summit between U.S. and Soviet leaders at Camp David. Sec. Baker related the extraordinary changes happening in Europe at the time and the advantages of utilizing Prestroika in future agreements and the unification of Germany. Questions from members ranged from weapons agreements to diplomatic relations on Namibia, Drug Interdiction from Latin America, Israel/Palestinian peace and global terrorism. close
