Secretary Glickman and others testified about the current financial crisis in the farm industry. They focused on this summer’s drought which has caused low crop yields in addition to the low crop prices this farm season. They also talked about the increased amount of global grain production which has weakened U.S. exports. They urged the Congress to continue funding for the Crop Loss Relief and Emergency Farm Income Support legislation. close
