The chief justice delivered the keynote address at a dinner that will kick off of the college’s five-month celebration of the life and legacy of Chief Justice John Marshall on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his appointment to the Supreme Court. Marshall taught various law classes at the College of William and Mary was appointed to the Court by President John Adams and served from 1801-1835. close
