David Isay talked about his book Flophouse: Life on the Bowery published by Random House. The book examines the history of flophouses along New York’s infamous skid row and the people who reside in the houses. Other speakers included the co-author Stacy Abramson, Susan Sarandon, Paul Auster, and some of the subjects of the book. After the presentation the co-authors and Harvey Wang, the photographer, answered questions from members of the audience. close
