Pentagon Spokesman Pete Williams, Lt. Gen. Thomas Kelly, and Adm. Mike McConnell spoke to reporters in the Pentagon on events in the Persian Gulf war. Mr. Williams explained the “feed and forage” act, which allows the military to continue spending money beyond their allotted budget, and send the bill to Congress who is obligated to pay it. Lt. Gen. Kelly announced the statistics of the war: number of personnel, SCUD attacks, casualties, aircraft lost, etc. He explained the strategy of the air strikes against convoys and bridges, which aims to reduce the defensive capabilities of Iraqi forces at the front by reducing the amount of supplies reaching them. close
