Mr. Oberdorfer talked about his 1997 book, The Two Koreas: A Contemporary History, published by Basic Books. The book describes the past 25 years in both South and North Korea, drawing from his past reporting, dozens of interviews, and previously classified documents recently made available. The panelists, former U.S. Ambassador to Korea, Stephen Bosworth, and Wendy Sherman, a former counselor for the U.S. Department of State, also talked about the book and about the Korean peninsula. After the presentation, the panelists answered questions from members of the audience. close
