The Federal Election Commission concluded a two day public hearing on the new campaign finance law. Witnesses testified about implementing the Campaign Finance Reform Act of 2002 and how to fashion new federal regulations in order to enforce the statutes. Among the topics they addressed were distinguishing between federal and local elections, Constitutional issues raised by the law, and the manner in which the legislation was considered and passed. close
