Chief Justice Margaret Marshall of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court spoke to members of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Her subject was why an independent judiciary is good for business. Chief Justice Marshall wrote the majority opinion in the Massachusetts same-sex marriage case decided by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court last November.
