A panel of presidential speechwriters talked about the demands of writing for presidents, and offered anecdotes from their days in the White House in a forum at the New York Times Arts and Leisure Weekend in New York City. The panelists included Ted Sorensen, President Kennedy’s speechwriter; Ray Price, President Nixon’s speechwriter; and Michael Waldman and Carolyn Curiel, both speechwriters for President Clinton. After their discussion they answered audience members' questions. close
