The crew of the Discovery talked to reporters about mission STS-114, which would be the first flight of a space shuttle since the Columbia accident. The launch of Discovery on its Return to Flight mission was scheduled for May 15 with a launch window that extended to June 3, 2005. During its 12-day mission, Discovery’s seven-member crew would test new hardware and techniques to improve Shuttle safety, as well as deliver supplies to the International Space Station. They also answered questions from reporters. close
