At a day-long conference on intelligent design theory, Ms. Satel moderated a panel on views from the science and religious communities on teaching intelligent design in classrooms. Among the issues they addressed were tensions between religious and scientific interest groups over the place of creation and evolution theories in the classroom, the validity of each approach, and the motivations of those advocating change or defending current scientific curricula. They also responded to questions posed by the audience. close
