Veterans of the Vietnam War and other conflicts participated in the 24th Annual Veterans Day Observance at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The ceremony began with a march to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the battle of the Ia Drang Valley in November 1965, led by Lt. Gen. Hal Moore, USA (Ret.) and war correspondent Joe Galloway.

In addition to the speakers, performances by country music singer Aaron Tippin, Scottish pipes and drums Clann An Drumma, and bagpiper Chris Jackson honored veterans and those lost in the war. close
