Senators Reed and Warner talked about the future involvement of U.S. armed forces in Iraq and possible conditions under which they should be withdrawn. Among the topics they addressed were the security situation and on-going insurgency in Iraq, the state of the transition to an Iraqi government under a new Constitution, American public opinion on Iraq policy, and appropriate levels of continued U.S. presence in the region.
