As part of the Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference a forum was held on the rebuilding process in New Orleans. Mayor Nagin addressed the group on his vision and strategy for leveraging public-private partnerships for rebuilding the city. Mr. Mudd and Mr. Smith described the role of government-sponsored enterprises in developing affordable housing and communities. A panel of development and banking experts addressed the role of the private sector in public-private partnerships, focusing on minority-owned businesses and financial institutions. The panelists responded to audience members' questions. close
