Former Ambassador Moss discussed the foreign policy of the Carter administration with a group of experts. Topics included human rights, peacemaking, foreign aid, Middle Eastern issues, the Cold War, Africa, the controversy around United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young, and the Panama Canal. Mr. Tessman moderated the discussion. After their presentations the panelists responded to audience members' questions.

The program “Foreign Policy” was a break-out session of the three-day conference, “The Carter Presidency: Lessons for the 21st Century,” held on the 30th anniversary of President Carter’s inauguration. close
